The New Baofeng UV-9R which is waterproof to IP 67 differs from the traditional UV-5R. in two key respects apart from being bigger and having a larger battery Many of the Shipped Handhelds disapointingly come with a USB Lead - 

 

(i) The Charge Unit has a unique groove which corresponds to the moulding on the Radio thus the charger base unit is different to the UV5R and requires a UV9R Specific Base Charger Unit as in this listing

 

(ii) Additionally to maintain its waterproofing they are fewer buttons and sockets to minimise water ingress ( has a pin - disk contact - no socket ) so both the programming cable and earpieces / mics are different from the traditional two pin Kenwood K Plug . see our other UV-9R listings

The charge Unit has a 3 pin UK Plug and the back has screw wall mounting fixtures freeing space in a shack etc. Two Key hole screw mounts 48 mm apart Many of the Shipped Handhelds disapointingly come with a USB Lead - Base
