"We compared the UV-98 Pro directly against its predecessor, the UV-9R Plus. The first thing you notice is the refined ergonomics—the rounded corners and the lack of a belt clip screw-hole on the battery make it incredibly comfortable to hold. The radio sits extremely stable on a desk, unlike some top-heavy models. We also noted the volume knob shield is slightly shorter, making it much easier to adjust volume with gloves on, while still preventing accidental bumps."
